Shilasdair Yarns Tartan - Tying in the warp

Posted on April 16, 2014 by Emma Nicolson

The warp for the Shilasdair Yarns tartan has now been tied into our Victorian Dobcross loom, and is ready to be woven. Each of the 1900 threads are individually tied to the previous warp, and are then pulled through their own separate heddles. To find out more about these naturally dyed yarns, see our previous blog post, with information about how each colour is achieved.

Not long now until the weaving starts!
